The Mission
The mission of the Washington Children’s Foundation is to provide assistance to non-profit organizations and agencies that work with at-risk children in the District of Columbia.
Our Belief
Our mission reflects the belief that early intervention is vital in helping children overcome conditions and circumstances which are beyond their control yet impair their ability to lead stable, happy, and productive lives. The Foundation believes, therefore, that its resources are best directed toward programs designed to support children in their early years. We have a particular interest in those which address the needs of children who have experienced abuse or have suffered other trauma in early childhood.
